As the union and the hospital reached a dramatic agreement, Eulji Hospital branches in Daejeon and in Seoul held an emergency general meeting of union members to report the negotiations at 11 am on November 2nd.  Through the confirmation of union members, KMHU held a convention to report the strike victory.

According to the agreement, the labor union ended the strike on November 25th and returned to work on the 27th.

This strike allowed the union and the hospital to reach an agreement on regularizing irregular workers, narrowing the wage gap, creating a hospital culture that respects patients, workers and labor and improving the organizational culture. The agreement paved the way for the normalization of Eulji University Hospital and Eulji Hospital and cemented more mature industrial relations.

In particular, while abusing one’s power over others and violating human rights in hospitals create a great stir in society, these hospitals first organized the TF team to assess actual conditions and to create with countermeasures. Their actions prompted the movement against any retaliation or violations of human rights in hospitals.
