On 18 May, KHMU members working in small and medium-sized hospitals organized a rally to demand the staffing-up in front of the Ministry of Health & Welfare. These workers are suffering from excessive night works (10 to 12 times a month), over 50-hour work weekly and poor working conditions with low salary. The turnover rate has been over 20%. In the rally, a nurse working in a small hospital said, " I have been working in my hospital for more than 15 years. But, I did the night-shift 16 times last month." After the rally KHMU leaders conveyed the union demand concerning the staffing-up to the ministry.
